Hi. I have a question that is getting me crazy.
I have a SB Live! Value and it only plays if I select Integer (16bits)from Vorbis decoder settings. It doesnīt wanna work in IEEE floating option.
Anyone knows the difference?.
In another PC, the same file plays OK without changes.
I am reading all about ogm files and I still havenīt found anything about these parameters.
Thank you.
Mick Imoto.

What OS are you using? There seems to be a problem with floating point in Win9x which is the reason that 16 bit is the default in OggDS in Win9x. It works here with Win2K SP2 and an Audigy soundcard. Maybe you need a newer driver?

Im using Windoze 2000 Prof, and lastest releases of drivers for SB Live! and ogg direct filters.
Thank you for your answer.
What is the difference between these two options, IEEE and integer?

Ah well, 16 bit integer does what it says. It decodes the vorbis stream to 16 bit WAV. I'd say this is ordinary WAV format. Now I'm not an expert but the IEEE decodes to floating point. It seems that not all drivers and Operating Systems can handle this.
In Windows 2000 Service Pack 2 there was a fix regarding non-PCM audio. While I'm not an expert I think it's possible that this is somehow related. If someone else reads this, please correct me here.
So far I just can recommend to install Service Pack 2, latest drivers (you did so) and latest OggDS (0.9.9.1).
I hope this helps.
