get rid of forced subs?

On some german dvds, you have german subs when you select english audio and can´t switch them off.
Any chance to remove this forced subs in the ifo (or somehow else)?

Me too. I would love to know. Maybe we start by asking where the information of forced subtitles is stored. Does anyone know?

if you remove P up, can you choose english (it put german sub then) and then select sub off or is it impossible ?

If you can, this is probably just a audio set + sub set in the menu when you choose english.
tou can then find probably the command in the VTSM_PGCI_UT, and remove it.

If not, there is a feature to discover in the PGC description.

Anyway, if you author with DVD Maestro, you can set up everything as you like.
