Hi, can anyone help. I have been unable to copy dvds due to a message that says "unable to perform power calibration" does anyone know what that is. I have unistalled and reinstalled tmpenc and I am using the panasonic LF-D321, which I have unistalled and reinstalled the software. I have had no problems before.

Help need asap please

This happens when your blank media is in a strange way not 100% compatible with your recorder and cannot calibrate the power of the laser to start writing.just change blank media..

Thanx for your help. I'm not too sure why this has happened because I have been using datasafe dvdr branded, however I tried what you said with a princo dvdr and it worked without a hitch.
Thanx again.

freeindeed,

perhaps a firmware update will help.
Look if you already have the current A124 (windoze device manager will tell you). If not, you may get it here:

I recently updated my LF-D311 from A107 to A122 for I had the same problem with imation discs.

Thanx for the advice. One question, when I download this updated is it just a case of double clicking it to update the firmware?

freeindeed,
instructions are included in the Readme_E.txt file inside the zip.
If you are unfamiliar with firmware updates I recommend looking for assistance (by your store or an experienced user)
greetings
