I am trying to take rip the AC3 (6CH) file from Scarface. I use Smart Rippers stream processing to "Demux to Extra File" and pick a save location and select the AC3 file. When Smart Ripper finishes, it says, "Rip Complete", but the Vobs and the AC3 file it writes are all 0 bytes. I have done this to many movies and have not have this problem before. Any suggestions?
By the way,
If I select the AC3 (2CH) Smart Ripper completes fine and gives me the files correctly. But I don't want the 2CH, I want the 6CH.

i suggest using the newest version of DVD Decryptor and then after done ripping loading the vobs into DVD2AVI then extracting the .ac3 file... guaranteed success! ;)

Only bad thing is that I don't have the disc anymore (rented). I've tried everything I can think of to get DVD Decrypter to read rip from my HD but I've been unsuccessful. Can it be done?
BTW, I even tried using vstrip to get the ac3 but it doesn't write the file when it is finished. It's almost like the ac3 file isn't really there. Very weird. Anyone else ripped this movie?
I tried the dvd2avi method but It only left me with a d2v file and no ac3 file.
I used ifoedit on the original files and kept Only the Video and Dolby 6ch ac3. When it's done and I open it in ifoedit again, it looks like the audio track isn't there anymore. I deleted it (the "Movie Only" files) before I thought about playing it in PowerDVD. I'll do it again later and re-post my results. Gotta go to work now.

i think i know what u are doing wrong..since u only have a .d2v file and no .ac3 file u have to make sure u are choosing the right audio track ( usually track1)..make sure it is not on none. also make sure that (i am not at home so i cant check) that both audio options are on demux..i believe those are the options. if u went to the stream processing tab is smartripper when u ripped the dvd u should have the audio track on there..if u didnt do that, then u are out of luck. if u were to go to the stream processing tab u could have selected which audio (ac3) track u wanted to keep and what video u wanted to keep..make sure u did this.lets hope u did.afterwards if u load the vobs in dvd2avi and do as i say with both the demux options and select track 1(usually that track) then u should be fine.. let me know how u make out.
As for the ifoedit part ( prolly do this before dvd2avi), load the .ifo file in ifoedit then do the basic guide, step by step to the T.. and make sure u read everything and even more your files correctly..
if u have any other problems pls post again..good luck! ;)
