I haven`t find this while searching and haven`t noticed
someone mention it but I noticed two things while watching
xvid avis:

1.Scene becomes brighter suddenly.
2.Colour flashes like blue or red coloured (they last for about frame or two, very fast change).

Any comments?

Hi Koke,

There is a sticky at the top of the forum entitled "When posting bugs..." If you could read that, then post some information like:

1) What build of XviD
2) What filter did you use for playback (XviD, ffdshow, DivX5, etc)
etc etc

Uff, and I thought it will be an easy way out :-).....

a pretty tough task because I constantly switch to every new one from all 3 xvid builds. Being lazy a bit,
I do not note every change I make prior to an encode. After few hours of testing it goes like this:

To Nic: These are not bugs. :P)

First effect (picture becomes much brighter on a keyframe) is due to decoder.
I set fourCC to divx because my PC (900MHz celeron, via appolo pro, TNT2 ultra)
holds to 25 FPS whatever I do while movie plays (open another program, strech
movie, switch to full screen, open menu in player etc.). But then, when I changed
fourcc back to xvid this effect was GONE. Also happened in another test when
I kept fourcc to divx, but used ffdshow to decode (tick on "divx" 4 AND "decode using xvid")
So, now, I will stick to XviD decoder althuogh it loses 25 FPS very easy.

Second effect happens only while playing video through
video out and watching it on TV. But I could swear I havent noticed it one cca one
month ago. On PC it looks fine. So lets presume its related to video in/out.

My XviD settings:

Motion search:6
Quant.:MPEG
FourCC: Divx
Max-min:250/5

Quantization: 2,6,2,12
AltCC: Low, 100, 100, 25

resolution: 688x288 or 688x384

Bye!
