DV=> SVCD using Adobe Primiere 6 + CCE help??

Hi, I have a digital8 Camcorder,CCE SP 2.50, Adobe Primiere 6.0 and a Dual Athlon MP 1900+ system. I know nothing about how to use CCE in Primiere. Can I encode on the fly to MPEG-2 or must I record to the hard disk in AVI format, then convert to MPEG-2? AVI files are huge, its like 1MByte/sec. Any suggestions on what Forums/websites where I can find help? Thanks

CCE has an Adobe Premiere Plugin - if you have copied the plugin to the directory during the install (it's a checkbox partway through the install that asks if you want to install the plugin), then it should appear as option under File Type in the Export Movie...settings dialog. This skips the AVI creation step and creates MPEG2 directly from Premiere using CCE. There are a lot of options, so I suggest you read the guides on what settings you need if you plan on using this on a standalone dvd player.

what guides could you point me too? there are none that i have found on doom9.org that are about premiere and not flask.
