Hi, i copied the 16:9 anamorphic vobs of shawshank redemption to my hdd using dvd decrypter without it giving me any errors or anthing..

i then play the video_ts.ifo file in power dvd and the movie works perfectly ok. however, when i play the vob files on their own, they run in 4:3 and the movie becomes very strecthed :( i need to run one of the vob on its own cause i need to send a friend (who lives far away..) a little 50 meg piece to let him see the qual.

so, basically im wondering if there is a program available which will convert vobs from 4:3 and force them to be 16:9 anamorphic?

thanks very much,
i'll appreciate any help :)

That information is conveyed by the .ifo, if you throw it away the player has no idea what aspect to use, so it defaults to 4:3.

thanks for the reply.
so, would there be a way of actually making a DIY ifo so it runs in 16:9 ? or might there be some sort of prog to force it into running 4:3. cause i have run several other vobs without having this problem, and im unsure why :(

thanks for any further help, i appreciate it greatly :)
