Hi - I have my first interlaced film. Doom9's guide says, "If DVD2AVI showed your source as interlaced PAL and the preview was interlaced you enable Fast Deinterlacing here."
Well, it's 4:3 and interlaced, but not PAL. What do I choose? Fast interlace any way? Thanks guys :)

I need some clarification...
working on pal dvd when I save a project from dvd2avi I see "FRAME TYPE: INTERLACED" but if I look at the preview I can't see any "mice teeth" or interlaced lines..
so... the source is interlaced or not? I have to deinterlaxce it?
the guide says "if dvd2avi showed your source as interlaced pal AND THE PREVIEW IS INTERLACED"...
mumble... I need some hints...
see ya!

Hi MigliO - dvd2avi often reports pal source as being interlaced even though it is not. u just need to use examine the picture when previewing the video ( pushing F5 ). try using the slider and [ button on dvd2avi to start the preview somewhere in the middle of the movie and look at scenes that have motion taking place in them. if u cant see the combing then it is not interlaced content. its my experience that the majority of pal dvds are not interlaced, but you should always check visually.

I have several anime DVD's in PAL format that are truly interlaced.
Although deinterlacing them properly is impossible due to bad NTSC to PAL conversion!
