The best choices are Scenarist and Maestro. i personally use scenarist. If you wish to learn then there are detailed guides available by doom9 as always.

I just use Spruce Up. It handles dolby 5.1. I want to do DTS, though. Where do you get scenarist? Is it really thousands of dollars?

maestrp 2.8 can import DTS, maestro 2.9 supports DTS playback off the timeline/RTP.

Yup. Rather ridiculous, if you ask me.

I'm sorely tempted to write an authoring app myself, and opensource the damn thing. Unfortunately, there is an NDA attached to the **$50,000** fee you pay to use the DVD specification. Bunch'a F***'in BS.

Sorry. Pet peeve.

But if in a year's time or so, there's a new, full-featured DVD authoring application written in Java (so as to be cross-plaform) for the low low price of $500, from a company you've never heard of, assume it's me. It probably will be, or someone I convinced. :D
