Nero Up Grade

Is the nero upgrade worth getting. I have 5.5.82 and it works fine should i get the new upgrade. I have no problems with it or my DVD+RW. I dont back up my dvd's i use it to create SVCD. I put 3 or 4 SVCD's on 1 DVD+RW and it looks great. Im using spruce up. SO should i get the upgrade?:confused:

I have had 5.5.8.2 for some time, and had no success burning DVD-R discs (it wasn't the media or burner (A104)) because they worked OK with other software. It had to be Nero.

However, I have loaded 5.5.9.0 today, and burnt 2 discs right from the word go.

One was even an on the fly direct copy.

Both discs worked OK on my Pioneer 444.

I've not had a chance to try it on the Play Station 2 (version 5)

I don't burn VCD / SVCD so I guess you should still be OK. But, be warned, if you ever want to burn DVD-R you will need to upgrade.

I have burned to DVD+RW with NERO 5.5.82. With no problems what so ever im just worried that if i install the upgrade it may be the new nero express and i dont want it.. Is it hte same as the original NERO or is it different?

You do get "Express" with the upgrade, but it is incoporated into the full programme.

The difference for me was, before, I was trying to burn an image copy (*.iso) DVD.

I think if you were trying to burn "Normal" DVD files *.ifo *.bup *.vob these would have been OK.

Anyway, checkout the Ulead website first, they give quite good details of the patch fixes.

Nero Express is already included in Nero 5.5.8.2, only it's hidden.

All you have to do is start the executable with the /w switch: c:\Programs\Ahead\Nero\nero.exe /w

It's not worth it if you know what you're doing, but it's a good idea for people who don't know much about burning.

Oh ok I C. NAw im pretty good with nero so I will stay with what i have then TY 4 YOUR HELP:)
