Maybe could be my problem only but seems that the last DVD2SVCD 1.0.9 build 3 has not yet solved the subtitles position for PAL movies (the preview it's ok but the final movie got subtitles in the wrong position 40-60 pixel higher).
To force DVD2SVCD on using the right position you have to put manually the subtitles Y pos and here's the trick to know wich is the right position.
Before you start the conversion select a preview video, after the preview go in the DVD2SVCD folder and then inside the TEMP folder open the permsubs.txt file, you'll se something like this
0,94,0,112,502,previewuse.bmp
in this case 502 ise the right position for subtitles.
Now go under the subtitles tab and in the Y-Pos PAL write 502 then start the conversion.
I don't know if i'm the only with this problem, but if somebody got the same problem this can help,i know is not a big solution and maybe can't be call trick but for me is useful and hope it is for you.
Oops, i forgot this is for CVD subtitles, don't know if SVCD or Permanent subtitles have the same problem, didn't check.
bye
