Hello,
I have the following questions:
1. Is there a recommendation for the distance between average bitrate
and maximum bitrate for TMPG? I read that it shall be minimum 120 Kbps for cce (Q&A).
2. The bitrate is validated when I push the button "go" in conversion and the marker is set. The equation for this is "maximum (video) bitrate + audio bitrate < 2756 kbps. If the "Do not convert audio"-marker is set, the last set audio bitrate will be used and not the values of the original audiostreams. Is my understanding correct?

There is no denifate min/max bitrate setting that will get you optimal results every time. It simly depends on the source video. Lots of action? A lot of dark scenes? These and more factors determine what the best bitrate is for the particular movie. I have found that as long as your average bitrate is > 1800 you will get decent results. You'll just have to try things out on your own...
