lately i enoded a dvd ... :)

used avisynth and vdub 2pass divx5.0.2 and about 700kbps and 640x272 resolution. (no psy visual or stuff only GMC and bidirectional) everything works well and the movie looks fine, BUT there are some errors in it.

for milliseconds some parts of the image get stuck, seem to jump back one frame or there is hudge macroblock buildup (all only for very short time), but it is only parts of the image no full framejumps (what could be a decoding problem). my system is a athlon xp 1600+ and the errors always come at the same positions in the movie, so decoding problems can be excluded. also vdub's errorchecking finds nothing.

is there a way to scan a file for something like that? where does it come from? (i know the problems with cracked codecs and wrong resolutions, both do not apply here)

it costs too much time to watch every movie on and on after every recode, to make sure it's ok to be archived on cd.
