DVB-Stream encoding fails

Hi @all,

I want to encode an DVB-Stream (from Premiere @ DBox2) to an SVCD.
For 4 Weeks ago this works fine.
Yesterday I installed the DVD2SVCD 1.0.9 B3 and the Program will no more encode :(

The encoding stops, without an error-message.
The first pass from CCE runs und when the second pass should be run, nothing happens!

What can it be? Can it be CCE 2.5? Can it be the Stream (it plays in Media-Player good)? Can it be DVD2SVCD?

I also reinstall the old version from DVD2SVCD 1.0.9 B1 and it also dosen't work.

Has anybody a idea where I can search?

I'm still waiting for somebody to donate a DVB card to me so I can test the DVB support to it's fullest :D

As it is today debugging DVB is like wearing a blindfold.

Hi dvd2svcd,

I don't have my stream *.m2p from a dvb-card.
The stream comes from a Receiver called DBox2 in Germany.

I have enoced 50 streams with dvd2svcd. I don't know whie it don't work anymore :(

Have you no advice, which I can test?

To me it seems as a bad stream, most likely the streams has some bad frames (for instance if you recorded it when there was a storm outside, then you could get pixelisation in the stream) Did you take a look at the frame number where CCE locks up (by loading the AVS file into VirtualDUB and see)

I must encode the file new (I deleted it).

So I have encoded the stream from the DBox2.
Then I opend the avisynth_script_file.avs in virtualdub 1.4.10.

This stands on the bottom: Frame 183162 (2:02:06.480) [K]

Under AVI-Information the following Infos stands:

Video Stream
Frame Size: 480x576, 25 fps (40000)
# of frames: 183262 (2:02:10)
decompressor: YUV 4:2.2. (YUY2)
Number of key frames: 183262
Min, avg,mag, total key frame size: 55290/552960/552960
Min, avg,mag, total delte frame size: no delta frames


I can also play in Virtualdub the whole Videowenn I open the **.avs

Is this right???
What can I do?

Hi,

I think I have the failure found.
I have 2 Grab-Programs for the DBox2.

When I use WinGrab the encoding is sucsessfully done.
When I use ngrab (which baeses on WinGrab) then the encoding stops!
