I've got a 1350MB DivX AVI file and I'd like to split it into 2 files of about 700MB.. How can I do it with VirtualDub? (or NanDub, if this i better..)

Thanks!

Get AviSplitCalc (e.g. here: http://divx.maphia84.org/13/avisplit.zip) and NanDub let those make it for you.

Hi-

If you'd tried searching the forums or reading some guides, you wouldn't have had to wait for an answer. Anyway, use Nandub, in case it has a VBR soundtrack that VDub can't handle. And then check out Doom9's VDub guide for instructions. You can find it here (http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm).

Welcome to the forum.

To say it's "in the guides" isn't enough information. It's there, but as part of other encoding guides.

Here's how to use Nandub, it's included in the various Gordian Knot guides: http://www.doom9.org/gknot-split.htm

I prefer to use AviSplitCalc as a front-end to Nandub. http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/SupportUtils/avisplit.zip
