I'm relatively new to dvd2svcd, but have done a lot of testing and I yet won't miss it and its capabilities. As always there's some features you would like to have. For me that's mainly for a higher grade of automation and unattended work because as most people I do my encoding overnight.

Easiest things first: Might it be possible to do the editing of the Avisynth script BEFORE ripping all subtitel pics (dvd2avi is already completed then)? That would get me to bed a few minutes earlier :D

And what I really would like to see is a somewhat better support for splitting a movie on CDs by chapter. I know that's already possible in batch mode, but what I miss is this:
- Internal ripping has to be used. That means I have to rip the movie twice if it's already on my hdd. Not too bad, but a little annoying.
- In batch mode I can't edit the Avisynth script, because the second edit would have to be made in the middle of the night ;) As the script changes would be the same for both parts of the movie, it would be great, if the modified script from the first part would be used throughout the rest.

These are just my two cents to make a great project even better. Maybe someelse has some suggestions too or corrects me, if I'm wrong on or missed something.
Keep up the good work! :)

I know you are new around here so I will go easy. LOL :p

The reason that you dont see anybody responding to you is that most people arent going to ask DVD2SVCD to put anything in his program unless its very important. For a very good explaination of this see: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=7770

I realize that you have the best goals in mind and I dont want to make you upset at me or the forum, but how would you like it if you wrote a free progam and all you got all day long is people asking for stuff that they want in D2S? Ya see what I am saying? :D

I certainly understand your point being in the business of software development myself. And I don't want to urge any kind of changes or features in d2s. It's a great piece of software and I like it as it is. Maybe it's the engineer inside me that can't keep his mouth shut :D Besides it merely should have been a suggestion and the first part might be as easy as to exchange the call of a subroutine. If not drop my thoughts. I won't be angry nor bringing this up again and again trying to force something :)

Thanks for that input, but my "problem" ;) is a slightly different one. What I meant is, if I already have the movie ripped to my hdd, for example I want to try different settings or I ripped it with another prog, then I have to rip it again from that file to work with chapters, since I must enable "internal ripping".
