I'm relatively new to DVD2SVCD but I'm quite impressed about what the prog can do and about the resulting movies. In playing around with it, I encountered the following problem under XP Pro when logged in as an ordinary user (it works under admin rights):
When I try to open an IFO file, I get the following message
"It seems that Avisynth has NOT been properly installed in the registry. DVD2SVCD can make the changes for you. Continue?"
Even if I press "Yes" the prob persists. It's a little bit annoying to work everytime under an admin account.
Does anyone know, what's going on there and how to fix it?
TIA

Dietmar

Have you try to give administrator rights to that user??
I think that will solve the problem, if not please contact your Administrator! (bad luck if you are just a "user" and not the admin):)

I dont think that as a regular user you will have rights to the registry. So when D2S tried to install the files to the reg windows stops it from working. :(

I can give the user admin rights, but that's not what I intended to do. I hate to let all progs run under admin rights just to get them working :D

And yes, I tried to fix the registry, when the prog was run with admin rights, but it seems, that no changes are being made :(

Anyone else with some suggestions???

If that didnt work then you can try to re-install the program with the user that is going to use it and give him admin rights just for the install.

Thanks again. I might try that for the next release of DVD2SVCD :)
