Could you explain me the problem I have ecountered:
This was my first DVD rip so dont be surprised if i say something stupid.
I did it with DivX 3.11 and didnt have a problem.
But when i decided to try 5.02, i just couldnt get what's wrong: after encoding i have got a small avi file (about 200 MB) wich was completely black with some green horisontal stripes in the top. No matter how i tryed and changed codec's and filter's settings it didnt help.
I have coded Episode I and some short trailers.
Checked all the software and codecs are correctly installed.
Even while the Nundub was ecoding the forecasting filesize was too small too.

Will be very glad if you could help me with that.

Try reinstalling the DivX 5.0.2 codec. For some reason this tends to fix a lot of errors. I had a similar problem once, and this is what fixed it for me. Hope this helps.

are you sure that you didn't just make the 1st pass for 2pass encoding?

are you sure that you looked at the correct avi (do you just 1 or 2 over there)?

I dont do 5.02, so i'm not positive on what i'm about to post, butyer saying you were using Nandub for your encode. Arent you supposed to use VDub for 5.02 and only use Nandub for 3.11??

Yes, sure, im using a Vdub of course. I would post a log file but unfortunatly i dont have it anymore. More of that, i dont currently have any DVD right now and cant test somehow.
But thanx anyway.
