After using chapter extractor and saving file for maestro, how do you then import the chapter information into maestro?

Make sure you save the file with the .chp extension, then after you import the video file into maestro and place it in the correct place, right mouse click on the timeline (the grey area above the movie)and select import chapter list, then browse over to the .chp file.

I have alost never been successful at importing a .chp file into maestro.
I can create the file with chapter extractor into the correct .chp format but I always get an error message when importing into maestro.
Doesn't matter if I have rencoded the file or if I'm using a file ripped directly from the DVD.
If I run the file through pulldown and remove the rtf flags the .chp
then can be imported to maestro. But.... many times maestro reads the file as being much shorter in time than the original file. The file created by pulldown is physically as big as the original but it is still read as being shoter in minutes.
Anyone know what might be going wrong?
