Hi everybody!
I just bought the first set of Futurama DVDs in Germany (3 Disks, 13 Episodes). They're in PAL format, R2, 4:3, 25fps. Joy!
Less joy, however, when I watched them on my system (I don't have a TV) - they're full of ghost images, very noticable in movements, especially in Episode one, as Fry cycles through the crowd.
With a ghost image I mean two frames blended into each other - you'd see both animation frames simultaneously.
I tried ripping them with GordianKnot (with DivX 5.02), but the problem persists - the ghost images are actually on the frames themselves. No matter which GKnot/DivX5 settings I used, the ghost images remained.
Although I'd guess that this is a very frequently asked question, I didn't find a solution to this anywhere. Am I doing something wrong? Did the DVD creators screw up?
Is there a simply way to fix this, using some kind of VirtualDub filter?
My System:
AMD 1GHz
512MB RAM
GeForce 4 4600i
Win 98SE
PowerDVD v3.0
Any help would be much appreciated!
Ciao,
Klaus
