I've made a DVD of Harry Potter using ifoedit & rempeg. When I put in my standalone DVD player it shows title 2 chapter 36 and does nothing. When I use remote to to go to title 1 chapter 1 it plays fine. How can I make it not try to start on title 2?

This is to do with the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. For some reason it has been set to start on Chapter 2 Title 36. You will need to edit it using Ifoedit. Load the file up and in the top half of the screen at the very top of the breakdown, you will see table called VMGI_MAT - click on that and it should give you a '+ first play pgc' option. Select that and scroll down to the bottom of that file (shown in the lower half of the window). You will see a JUMP COMMAND - simply right click that command and various options will pop up for you to select.
If you want the film to start as soon as the dvd is inserted just select Jump TT - jump to title 1.
If you have a menu and want it to start from the menu select JumpSS VTS and let it jump to title-set 1, title 1, root menu (if that is the path to your menu of course).
Don't forget to run it through GET VTS sectors again - that sould cure your problem. As a tip, I always run it through the dvd player in IFOEDIT prior to burning as it will show up any problems like this.
