Editing MPG

I know how to cut some frames out of an AVI file but I need to do this with an MPG file. I can delete the part I want but I don't see how to keep my new shorter clip.
Any ideas?

Use TMPGEnc

File -> MPEG Tools -> Merge/Cut ;)
