although the discussion os quite valid, i do agree with koepi that till we know for sure or see a respond from realmagic we should try and stay objective as much as possible.

Well this does not fit well in any of the other sections. But it is discussed more in them. It does not fit well in this section either since it is MPEG4 and not a new format per se. Perhaps it is time we get a general overriding MPEG4 section with Divx, Xvid, QT6, etc all as sub sections. After all the MPEG4 implimentaions are going to start popping out the wood work.

I agree with keopi on this that if we are going to discuss this we should keep the discussion grouped together instead of spread acrost the board. This is not meant to stifle the original intent of this message. Just to encourage discussion of it with the other related messages. So for now thread locked.
