Vdub crashed with DivX 3.11

I'm trying to encode with Gknot, but Virtualdub crashes at the end of encoding which makes the avi unusable. I've attached a screenshot of the error.


So i've got 2 questions:
- how can i fix DivX 3?
- or how do i use DivX 4 with Gknot?

btw: DivX 5 works ok, but it sucks so i don't want to use it.

You use divx 4 with gnot the same way you use either 3.11 or 5.02. Simply install the codec and then run gnot. Be advised though that you can't have both divx 4 and 5 installed on the same computer (unless you edit the registry).

Are you using Vdub to encode divz 3.11 because I thought divx 3.11 was encoeded with Nandub.

A few updates:
- Yes, it looks like that Gknot is using Nandub...
- I can't seem to get divx4 working with Gknot
- I uninstalled all divx versions and then installed divx311. I noticed it doesn't even wanna PLAY the movies. I just get a black screen!

The newest Gknot only works with Divx5.02 or Divx 3.11
For Divx4, get an older version of Gknot (like 0.23) (but I wouldn't recommend it, use 3.11 or 5.02, Divx 4 is worse than both).

Try a fresh install of Gknot (install every component except Divx4, then install the Gknot 0.26 update)
