Hi,

I seem to have an error in my divx. When I use the tool divFix it is indeed indicating that there is an error in the divx.

Does anyone know how to fix this errors?

Tnx.

if u find the framenumber, delete it in Vdub and then continue encoding

first do a error check with vdub to see which frames are corrupt, so u know wich ones to delete (remember though, if u delete a frame the framecount changes too and the next corrupt frame will change too, example: del frame 400 and the next corrupt frame like 561 becomes 560)

Ok, I've done the check with vdub and i'm getting 1 error and 80 masked frames. What should I do with the masked frames? Should I delete them too?

ok, I have scanned the divx for errors. 1 frame was unreadable and 81 frames were undecodable.

How can I find out the frame numbers of these frames, and how can I delete them?

Tnx a lot,

Ok, I have been doing some research and found the following solution:

First load your avi into Virtual Dub. Then scan the video file with Scan for unreadable frames util. When this process is finished the bottom of the screen shows the errors found in the file and these errors are masked. Then choose from the edit tab the delete selection option and the bad frames are cut out. Now choos in video tab direct stream copy and saven the file as avi with a unique name. This avi is good and will encode with no further problems.
