Hi

I'm using TMPEGEncoder and VCDEasy/CDRDAO to burn my
SVCDs. Since my objective is to collect music clips, my SVCDs
are composed of some mpeg2 files (from 8 to 15) that are stored
in the SVCDs as AvseqXX.mpeg. Thay are not as a movie file
that can be recorded as one only track.

Is it possible to have to a menu on my SVCDs? A menu
composed by a still image background with the music
titles that could be choosen by using "up" and "down"
arrows and "enter" commands of my APEX standalone
DVD player?

(I could merge my mpeg2 files in one but this would
not permit the use of the player skip function)

Is there some free software that can do this? And a simple
guide to it. Or a XML example filem for that.

Thanks

Unfortunately, you can't do that exactly because the up and down buttons aren't used when it comes to SVCD. You could use the next and prev buttons instead though.

The only way to accomplish what you're saying it seems is if you take your desired background image, paint the song name on it and set the default button in the interactivity tab of VCDEasy to that song. The drawback is that you have to make a different still menu for each song. The easiest way to do what you want is just to make a menu with a bunch of songs numbered and program it so that the numerical buttons on the remote select the song you want. Once again, you can do all that in the 'Interactivity' tab of VCDEasy

Hi there,

I wish to know the same thing but - how to create menus (similar to that on dvd ) for songs but am using nero.

Any suggestions?

Nero is good for this sort of thing cuz it automatically makes a numerical selection menu for you out of the file names. Have nero generate the menu for you and just make sure each file is named as you want it to appear on the menu.

Does anyone know how the XML should look for VCDImager in case of Multi Track Music SVCD which should have "Play All" button on the menu screen. I know the XML and I can create menus too but on my APEX 1500 standalone player (not cracked), when I create muti-track my MUSIC CLIPS stop after every track.

Could someone be kind enough to tell me the trick to make it work on APEX 1500? I already know that APEX doesn't have a "RETURN" key on its remote and it's been mapped to the "STOP" key 'coz of which the DEMO TEST SVCD/VCD available at VCDImager website doesn't stop once you hit the play button. The only way to stop is to EJECT it.

Thanks in Advance (TiA),
