Hello all,

Got a quick question. I just copied some one video tape from my camcorder to my HD using my video capture card. The software (windvr) saves the file as an MPEG2. I followed to logic in this thread

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24638&highlight=rename+vob

I grabbed an IFO file from a DVD with a 4:3 aspect ratio. I renamed the MPG files to VOB files and the kicked off DVD2SVCD and selected the IFO file (just like doing a DVD). This worked fine (at least as far as I can tell).

BUT, after more reading of the forums I found this thread

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23878&highlight=mpeg2

In there is the suggestion to use PVA2SVCD with PVAStrumento.

So my question is - which one is better / right?

Thanks
Bryan

wow - 44 views and no one has any feedback. Doesn't anyone make SVCD out of their home movies?

try PVA2SVCD. It should work with mpeg2 files too.
