The file www.doom9.org/gknot-divx5.htm begins:

"Go to the preview window and Select Save & Encode from the file menu."

As far as I can see, GKnot 0.26b doesn't have a preview window, or a menu bar.

What am I failing to see?

What am I failing to see? it's that new window you get after you've opened your DVD2AVI project in G Knot. After you've opened it, just leave the new window in the background so you can edit the settings
