Hello!

Does anyone know if any DVD writer is equiped with watermark technology yet?

Im about to buy a DVD burner /Ricoh DVD+r and i just want to make sure that it´s not equiped with watermark tech.

You can read more about it here:

Thanks for bringing this up. I was blissfully unaware of the watermark technology that they are trying to develop. I will have a scout around to see what I can find. That web link is very informative - Another way they are trying to foil us.
Happy ripping:devil:

I read the ZD Net article about this “watermark” technology and this post about your future purchase of a DVD “ + “ burner. I have a comment and a question.

Comment: All it took was a black marker to defeat the latest CD copyright protection. If watermarking was that easy to implement on DVD-R's it would have already been done. Question: Why would anyone purchase the “ + ” technology? The media cost more, it has greater potential for copy right protection schemes (see who’s backing this technology) and are the DVD+R even out yet?

Not trying to bag, just trying to understand.
