DV to SVCD

I'm trying to do something that seems fairly simple; convert a DV capture to SCVD. I'd like to be able to do it via premier and the CCE plugin, as that would mean the fewest number of steps = least hassle. I've read many discussions about using the CCE premier plugins (both 2.5 and 2.62), but after following various suggestions, still no luck. niether plugin works and both crash premier (6.01).

Help anyone?

I know it aims at TmpgEnc, but you could just as easily direct it to CCE (the program, not the plugin and also not 2.62, as I've <I>heard</I> there are some issues)

On the same page there is a link to an alternative avi-wrapper that also works from Premiere.

Thanks for the tip, I will check that out.

In the meantime, I may have found a solution in the LSX plugin. It works, though it encodes slowly - much like TMPG.
