I'm going to be making a demo that will probably involve playing AVS scripts through Zoomplayer.

Is there any way for an avs script to play any type of audio besides uncompressed wav files? They obviously take up too much space for a downloadable demo.

Nobody?

Okay. Here's a brain dead way to use an Avisynth script to play a Divx file with ac3 sound, using the avs file in a GraphEdit dshow filter. Hopefully someone can point out a better way.

I thought that Edwins coming version of AviSynth could play compressed WAV. Maybe he already a beta version for that?

a long time after.....

@Richard and others

I didn't notice any compressed audio support in
avisynth 2.0.x at all...

Maybe something is to be done here ??

i would really like to use .avs files as a powerfull
post-processing tool (resync audio, use cnr2, ect...)

PS : i'm not used to audio-related things but i offer my help for cding :D

EDIT : i know i can do it with GraphEdit but i don't see graphedit has an "all-around global and easy" solution (more a "desesparate and foolish" solution :D )
