CCE Audio sync problem

Until now I've used Ifoedit+Rempeg to fit a DVD9 to a DVD5.
All was fine but in this forum all of you say than CCE is better so
I tried it.
1) ripped the DVD9 (Terminator2)
2) with IfoEdit (VOBExtras) I've eliminated all menu' and undesired
audio track, obtaining a new video_ts with the film and the DTS audio
track.
3) Following the Doom9 guides I've obtained a m2v file with CCE
that does fit in the DVD5. It's really of a good quality!
I can play it with PowedDVD and it plays fine, without sound obviously.
4) With IfoEdit I've remuxed the m2v file with the original DTS audio
track.
5) Now the DVD fits in a DVD-R but it plays jerky and the audio is
out of synch just after few minutes.
This happens playing it from the hd with PowerDVD, so I've not burned
a dvd yet.

WHY????

I've had the same problem. I've tried the trial versions of CCE 2.50 and 2.64 to test (don't care about the logo for testing). Followed the Doom9 guides and the video quality is superb. After IFO Remux, however, I get the same sync problem with audio. The first chapter is sync'd but then after that it slowly starts to go out of sync. Video is still very good (no freezing, no pixelation, etc). Anyone know why this might be? Since with CCE you're not using the Audio portion, it must be something with the remux back in with IFOEdit. I'm still searching for an answer but have yet to find one.

It seems that i had the same problem.But i am re muxing with maestro.Infact i am doing a fresh authoring.My Video is superb as i followed doom9 guide to get my desire size.But the audio after 10 min or two chapters start de-sync.
I think this now the problem of many peeps.As someone has to create a solution for it.

I hope to see one.

I wasn't using DTS. The ones I've tried were a single audio stream. One was 2 channel dolby, another 5.1 dolby. Seems IFOEdit doesn't work well with CCE.

I've tried the CCE 2.50 method, and used IfoEdit 0.9 to remux. There is a problem with A/V synch. Used SpruceUp 1.0 to author the DVD, A/V are in synch. Took the same exact A/V files and tried to author Pinnacle Impression Pro 2.1 A/V out of synch. I also had a DVD that I made using ReMpeg2 and IfoEdit, A/V were in synch, but playback got choppy at each chapter point. Used spruceUp 1.0 to redo DVD, the movie is perfect. I took those 2 files and tried to author Pinnacle Impression Pro 2.1 A/V out of synch. Guess which way I'll be doing it from now on?

I've found the same thing. CCE and Spruceup work and are sync'd. The only thing I've noticed is the audio is always at a lower level than the original (or if I split into two DVD's using IFOedit). JS, do you have a volume problem when you use Spruceup? I still need to compare my IFO's and see if there is a difference in the audio properties.

To tell you the truth, mmorris, I really didn't check to see if there was a volume decrease. If there was, I just turned my receiver up. Next movie I do, I'll check.

Yeah, just let me know. I'm testing DVD Junior and will buy it if it works well. The volume issue isn't a problem on my home stereo, it's on one of my laptops where I can't turn the volume up much.

Well I tested it, mmorris, and I couldn't hear the difference btween the original and the copy.

I did another test with a different movie and now it works fine. It might have been the movie I was using. This time I used Smartripper to get the AC3 stream though. Before I used the one from DVD2AVI. Thanks for checking.
