Ive done about 60 or more movies, all fine. Then I did Kate & Leopold,The first cd seems fine but the second one the audio gets a little behind the video.Ive never had this problem before.Would it have anything to do with the bitrate.I usually change it so I can try and get a movie on 2 cds.It falied to create a bin and cue but Ive had that problem before but the movie still turned out ,any feedback.

:o You can try DVDCutter Stream and Mp3CDWav Converter, believe me, it's worthy of trying. You can get it in www.jummpa.com

Hi, I had the same problem with kate and leopold and never found a Fix for it except manual sync. I cut it into 3 cd's with dvd2avi, cd1 and cd3 were fine. first 3/4 of cd2 are fine and the last half of cd2 is out of sync. It starts right when leopold looks at a fax and the guy is talking to a girl on the phone and asks her out on a date. What I did was cut the first part of cd2 until that spot and then manually synced the remaining part of cd2 in bbmpeg using the audio offset, so I had 2 parts to cd, then dropped them in vcdeasy to make my bin/cue. This is the only way i found..The end of cd2 and beginning of cd3 were at the point where they are looking at sunglasses.. GLUck

Damn, I had exactly the same problem with that DVD. I didn't expect anyone on this forum to rip that DVD, so I didn't bother asking how to fix it. For one thing I was afraid I'd get yelled at :-). Now I'll try what you suggested. Thanks!

Me too. Same problem; same title. Does anyone have any idea what is peculiar about this DVD that causes the problem? And have other titles been identified that have the same audio synch problem?

 Is any of you using DVD2SVCD for this? If so are you using the internal ripping routines?

You guys aren't exactly the first ones to have this problem. That search button really does work, I promise.

And if you're using something like SmartRipper, as DVD2SVCD was leaning to, you're asking for trouble. Don't use anything other than internal routines unless you have to.

You can also fiddle with the movie offset option in the bbMPEG tab.

Same problem, Using DVD2SVCD, using internal ripping routines. I actually noticed this closer to the beginning, (however I havn't pinpointed the exact location.)

After looking through the docs, I thought that maby in bbMPEG/advanced settings/ Computed Bitrate/ Use Maximum could be at fault and changed it to Use Average. I'll post if it helps. I've also read about IVTC vs Force Film being a possable solution.

Below is a part of the log that disturbs me... (note "Hybrid Film activated") I've read elsewhere that this film mixes NTSC and Film elements. Perhaps Force Film can help if this is the case...

Executing DVD2AVI.
Executing DVD2AVI. Commandline:
"F:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\DVD2AVI\DVD2AVI.exe" -CS=2 -YR=1 -EXIT -OF=[D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\DVD2AVI_Project_file] -IF=[D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_1.vob,D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_2.vob,D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_3.vob,D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_4.vob,D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_5.vob,D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_6.vob,D:\RIP\Kate and Leopold\VTS_01_7.vob]
Analyzing DVD2AVI Project file
Hybrid Film activated. IVTC will be applied and will slow down the entire process!
Framerate: 29970
DVD2AVI processing done.

P.S. I found this using the Search Option!

oops. I searched for audio sync. The answer (using smart ripper and cce/tmpgenc) can be found by searching for "kate leopold"

Where is the answer to this problem? I did the search as above but I am not finding your reference...

Here's a link. It's not in the DVD2SVCD forums, but it works.

from what i can tell, The above link is to go back to dvd format? maybe not - i am only new.

i am having the sync issue on disc 2 of Kate and Leopold. After searching the forums i found this thread to be the most useful so far.

My log file is below - any help would be greatly appreciated. I am preferably looking for a dvd2vcd answer. I am only trying to convert this to vcd not svcd.
