I got the error "Error: 'START DAO RECORDING' command fail on device 1:1:0 Unable to set recording speed" I check all the possible discussion in this Forum, but there is only one posted by "fq" and there is no clear answer to it. Ok, here is my situtation. I convert DVD to SVCD using DVD2SVCD and the first 2 DVDs made great and I can write to CD using CDRWIN. Anyway, the problem start with third DVD. I could not write both .bin/.cue file. It keep giving me the same error that I mentions above. Then I try Fireburner, didn't work. Then yesterday I try to write them again with CDRWIN, the first cue file was written and I don't even know what is going on. But sadly, the second one got the same error again. I try just after the first CD was written.
My system is PIII with intel 1GHz, 256MB memory with XP pro OS. I am using "HP CD Writer Plus 9300 series" cd writer. I try TDK, GQ, PNY CDs but didn't work. Anybody has anyidea what is going on. Is it my cd writer failure? I mean I can write other data cds adn music cds. Or is it possible DVD2SVD software is not perfect? I attached my log file. "WHY I CAN WRITE SOMETIME AND SOMETIME I CAN'T" AND "PLEASE TELL ME HOW CAN I FIX IT"
Thank for any reply.

I did try to change "Track-at-Once" to "Disk-at-Once" in FireBurner. Didn't work. Well, I try nero 5.5.5.7 to burn .cue/.bin file as markrb mentions in the forum

http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18410

"If you are going to use Nero to burn the cue files use the 5.5.7.2 version."

I could find how to do that. Can somebody give me instruction how to write .cue/.bin file with nero 5.5.5.7. Thank alot.

I read thru the forums, and the only thing new for me to try is nero. If nero didnt' work what should I do?

Infact, using "don't make image file" command in DVD2SVCD is not a good idea for me because I don't know how to make my own.

From Nero, select File -> Burn Image -> select all files from file types -> select .cue file (.bin file needs to be in same directory) -> Burn the image.

Power Calibration is something to do with your burner's laser. Either your burning program is trying to have it do something it cant, or the burner is failing.

Hope this helps....
