Capturing images from AI

Hi

I would like to capture the images from my Artificial Intelligence DVD extra disc to my harddrive.
The problem is that they're encoded into a single vob-file.

It's out of the question to play the movie and push "print screen" or use any other type of normal screen-dump-program, since there are several hundred pictures.

I could maybe convert the vob to divx, and then use VirtualDub's "Save Image sequence". But that makes a .bmp of every frame, together maybe 100.000 images. That would off course fill up my harddrive pretty fast, and I would have a long job after that filtering out only the images I would keep :)

So, is there anybody who have a solution for me?

If you use VirtualDub's mark in and mark out features, then you can extract even a single picture. Just mark in the frame you want, mark out the next frame, and then Save Image Sequence.

Assuming every one of the pictures is 250 frames long, then you could load the vob file in avisynth and add "selectevery(250,1)" to the script. Then you could load this in VDub and save the image sequence.

It should work if you can find out how many frames each picture is and if it is the same length for every picture.
