Hi everybody.
This is my problem:
I noticed something a couple of weeks ago. When I open a mpeg file in windows media player, and not only, also in another player I have (ashampoo media player),it is displayed washed out, like there's a white filter in front of the screen. The black borders are not black anymore, they look gray. Well, this happens only with mpeg files. I tried some avi files, and they look OK. Also, the same mpeg files, opened in Power DVD are played correctly. This wouldn't be that much of a problem, but if I open one of these files in tmpg to encode a menu for example, it will encode it with that washed out look.
I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem, but when I open any file in graph edit, including vobs, the video is allways passed thru cyberlink video sp\decoder, and not inter video audio decoder or another filter. But that was the same even before having this problem.
I'm running WinXP, home edition, Pentium 3, 733Mh, 384Mb Ram, and a simple nvidia tnt2 64 video card.
I have all the filters downloaded , I register them again, which didn't do any good, I don't know what else to try.
I don't remember installing anything lately, exept for some automatic upgrades, so I don't know what could have caused this problem so suddenly.
I searched the forums, using different words, but couldn't find anything that would come close to my problem. So please, if anybody had this problem, or have any ideas of what might cause it, let me know.
I would appreciate any answers and\or suggestions
Thanks

I just downloaded elecard mpeg video decoder, from doom9 download section, well, when installed, it removed the white "hue" but the image is now upside down.
Anyway I can fix that?
