Filling the blanks for the cce part

I´m having this annoying problem every time I try to convert avi files to svcd. What happens is that AVI2SVCD freezes when it is supposed to fill in the blanks for the cce part of the process. Then what I have to do is to crash recover at "video encoding" for cce to work. I´m using all the default settings for AVI2SVCD on winXP.

Any help will be greatly appreciated
