DivX with AC3

Is it good to lower the AC3 bitrate if you going to create a DivX with AC3 sound ? Or just attach the original AC3 extracted from the vobs to the movie ?

it is better to keep it as is, since lowering bitrate causes big quality decrease.
If you're planning to use the AC3 5.1 soundtrack, you have to go for 2 CDs anyway.

Actually, you should give it a try and the results might suprise you.

Awatef is right, of course it would be best to keep the original AC3 but depending on the movie your results should be more than acceptable when transcoding and lowering the bitrate to around 256kbps.
