Where can I contact the makers of XMPEG?

XMPEG works like crap on WindowsXP, and I wanted to contact them to ask when they will make it work. The link from the Help menu on all versions takes you to some bogus site. Anyone know a real site?:confused:

Sorry, I just assumed XMPEG wasn't compatible with XP at all.

OK, usually the program either crashes or just sits there when I try to open a VOB file. The VOB file never loads. Secondly, if I do get it to load, I try to compile with DivX5 codec and the result is a video that is smooth, but has those horizontal lines to it. Interpolation I guess is what you call it. I don't know how to prevent that, but I know it should not be happening because I have a fast DVD player and fast computer. (1.4GHz, 128 MB vid card, 1 GB of RAM)

Also, when selecting an audio codec, it can't find the MP3 codec. Why is this? I can listen to MP3s. Is there a specific MP3 audio codec to download?

Well, fresh install of XP helped the Mp3 codec problems, but I get a max rate of 52 kbit/sec @ 22 kHz, Stereo

I thought the norm was to use 48 kbit/sec @44 kHz, but that is not available like it used to be

You need to re-install a mp3 encoder-codec like radium to enable higher bitrates. It can be found on doom9's download page, audio section. As to why you only have 56kbit/s read the Virtual Dub help file. Look for misc/Fraunhoffer.

Anyway, I installed the Radium codec, but something sucky happened. The original kbit/sec and kHz option were still there, but all the new MP3 options added to the dropdown list in XMPEG cause an error when I try to compile:

"An error ocurred when trying to generate the file. Check that you're not using the output file and or the program is setup correctly."

Well, I'm not using the output file, and this error only happens when I use an MP3 option loaded by Radium. I can still compile with the lower quality MP3 options that were already there before the codec installation (56 kbit/sec, 22kHz at best)

So, what can I do? It is crucial that I be able to encode in a better bitrate and frequency, especially for music vids.
