I know it's a bit of topic but need some help. Does anyone know if there is an accessory to convert COAX to A/V connectors. In other words, connect my cable coax to something that will allow the ouput to be the three prongs red, white and yellow

Uh, yeah. A TV tuner -- such as the ones in VCRs. Your coax connection is broadcast television, a.k.a. RF (radio frequency).
The three connection RCA plugs contain left and right audio, plus "composite video". It's the next step up in quality ... though since in this case your video and audio source is RF, it won't look any better.
The next quality level up is S-video, followed by component video at the top.

Thanks. I was hoping there would be a separate accessory since I can't hook it up to the VCD or other similar type devices. Trust me, it's a long story.
