Fastest player around, anyone?

Hello.

My computer plays DIVX content perfectly as it is a Duron 800 Mhz but my girlfriend's computer is much slower (400 mhz if I am not mistaken) and I would like to know what is the fastest player around.

Even if that is not enough power to decode, isn't there a player that will "pre-load" the divxs or something like that so that she can see them properly?

I don't know if it's so much the player - I'd think 90% would be the the playback codec. Have you tried Divx 5.02? It has a lot of new playback options which make it faster on older machines.

bsplayer is different from the rest, since it uses it's own avi parsing and bufferring code, so if others play choppy because of bufferring, bsplayer might do better.

however, my wife has celeron 400, and it plays more than fine with zoomplayer and ffdshow (tried only xvid).
