I don't know if this is the correct forum but since GKnot is involved I'll post it here..

Well my question is :"How do I find the correct A.R"...
For example. I have Matrix, resized it to 640..Well when I had enabled ITU-R this was 640x256..When I had disabled it, it was 640x272..How do we find out that that one of them is correct??..Not by the human eye..Are there any equations?? I say this beacuse 640x272(ie without the ITU-R) was "more normal" for me than 620x256..

Thanks,
MoonWalker

Taken from the Official GKnot FAQ page:

"Q: Doom9 says to turn off the "use ITU-R BT.601 Standard" in his guide but the options page of Gordian Knot says to use it. What do I use ?
A: It makes no difference to the quality of the film whether this is turned on or off - but if it is turned on the AVI will have *exactly* the same aspect ratio as the DVD on a standalone player ( provided you have a resolution set that has no aspect ratio error - see "resolution" tab )."

I guess it explaines everything....

take care
