I have done all my movies with gknot without any prob until the past 2 weeks. I have been using 0.26 with DivX 5.02 and had no prob. Untill one day when i tried to encode Final Fantasy, and i got an AviSynth error aftes 10 min max of the first pass (or second, the same), and this went on for alla my movies, i deleted gknot, visynth.. uninstall... install again... clean the reg... and finally formated my HD!
I am working on Win98, but for my bad luck even after the format i got the same prob... it starts and encode and after a few minutes it stops... and i get the avisynth error message again! I also installed Win2k to see if my 98 got a prob (although i didn't have any prob earlier) but... one of the same!!!
I have tried to use alla the versions of Gknot but without any success!
Does anyone know what this is and how can i fix it???
Please help!! It's very important!!!
Thnx in advance!

What error is avisynth giving you?

I get an Avisynth read error at some access point, i first thought the DVD had error, but i've used it with DVDs that i already had encoded without any prob and still got the same message. It only encodes about 10min max (not movie size) and then stops. :(

I always get that on the new version when I choose Fast Deinterlace. I get around it by using Field Deinterlace.
I don't know whether it's your situation, but you may wanna try it?

@ bloodimir:
Did you check if you have enough drive space for encoding?
I had this experience before until I found out that I have no more space to store the temporary files.
Check also if avisynth is properly installed.;)

Hmm...i guess it is VDub related problem and not avisynth error as you have mentioned earlier.
Have you tried opening the avs with VDub manually? Try this and see if the same problem will exist.
Perhaps, you may want to post your avs file so that everybody can see and analyse the causes of your pb. ;)

Yeah, i've tried that also... (and with an older ver of Vdub) but as i already have said... i didn't have any problem with Gknot earlier (using the same ver)
here is the AVS of Harry Potter (yeah i don't like the movie!)if anyone can find something...
