Hi,

I posted this in the decrypting forum but nobody seems to know the answer so I am trying in here instead!!

I have Titanic R2. I used DVDDecrypter to rip all the vobs to the hard disk. I then used DVD2AVI to extract the AC3 audio from the main movie (title1) and create a .d2v project file for re-encoding. However I cannot get the audio for the trailer which is in title2. I guess it is not AC3 and must be mpeg audio or something but I am stumped as to what to do.

At this rate I think I am just going to have to play it realtime and capture the soundcard output!!

I have searched these forums but must not be putting the right keywords in.

HELP!!!

Thanks

D.

P.S. I have also seen this with South Park R2

You should be able to just 'direct stream copy' the audio out of the vobs. You'll first have figure out which vobs to process though, but that should be easy enough, just look at the length.

Thanks for the reply. I did it with DVDDecrypters new features. The problem was that the second title in the VTS had AC3 audio that was 2 channel and only 192kbps. The main title was 3:2 AC3 with 384kbps. DVD2AVI seems to choke if the AC3 changes during the VTS.

If DVDDecrypter chokes then just use SmartRipper. It never failed on me, and I rip trailers all the time.

What I mean is that I used to just rip the files and then pick the bones out with DVD2AVI - but I am learning that it is probably better to use DVDDecrypter with IFO parsing.

Thanks again
