Hello!

I always encode the credit part with a very low resolution thanks to gordian knot. I use an average quant at 1%. It used to work very well with the older versions, but in the new version, 0.26, whatever its value I always get an avi file size about 90Mo. For encoding, I use the divx 5.02 by using the pro features. What is happening?

Are you ensuring that the box is checked that says to encode at a lower rate? Its not enough simply to specify a lower quant, you also have to check the box.

Unfortunately, the box is checked...

I use an average quant at 1%
Afaik, input field next to "Encode credits at average quant" is for quantizer value and not percentage. So, if you input "1" (less than minimum quantizer of 2), VDub will set encoding quantizer to 1.0

This might be a stupid question, but are you sure you told GKnot at what frame number the credits start?

I think if the credits start has not been set, option to encode credits separately and input field for average quant are both disabled. He probably set the credits start.
