the thing is that, when i see the divx file i don't display the full image it have, it just displays the center and don't display the upper and lower part of the image, and i can't read subs(if it is subbed), any way, i can't fix that.

And yeah, i already tried, windows media player, divx players, alpha something, real player

on virtual dub it looks good, but it displays this msg:

VirtalDub has detected an improper VBR audio encoding in the sourse AVI file and will rewrite the audio header with standard CBR values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 64ms of skew from the video stream if this is unacceptable, decomptrees the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed WAV file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. The message you are getting from virtualdub is normal for a file with VBR audio. You can use nandub (a hacked version of virtualdub) and it won't give you this message.

What display resolution are you using? Maybe you need to increase it. Make sure you don't have a zoom function enabled in your player.

ok ... bout the video stuff .... i don't know what it is ...cuase it doesn't work on any player i use just in nandub or virtual dub

i used so many players now ..that i'm don't remember the names, i think it's Divx probs ...cuase i installed divx3.11,4.21,5.0,and5.02
And what happend? well the video seems to not display the upper and lower part of the screen, so i can't read subs...what do i do?

All those video codecs can't exist on your pc at the same time. You can have divx 3.11 and 5.02 installed at the same time. My advise is to un-install all codecs and players you have. Re-install 3.11 then 5.02 (making sure it doesn't play 3.11 content) then use windows media player v6.4 and try to play the video again. If you still get an enlarged picture, try pulling the file up in nandub and see if it looks alright.

This may sound stupid but are you sure you havn't cropped too much off the top and bottom when encoding? is it like this with all movies or just one or two? Another Thing that Mac Sidewinder said about the zoom function on your player, well make sure you havn't enabled the overlay "zoom" function (settings>display>advanced>Additional properties>overlay) pant pant few ...thats along way!:D
