Question about the latest version of L3Codec (MP3 ACM)

My version of the L3Codec is Version 1.5 (Build 50) from 1998, has there been any newer versions since then? i'm sure some decoding advancements have been made since 5 years ago.

No.

But you can use

LAME ACM codec (version 3.92) for encoding

and

Odio audio codec from Elecard (AC3/MP3 decoding, directshow filter) for decoding...

I test and use Odio decoder. Same quality, but only about cca 5% less CPU consumation as old Fraunhoffer directshow filter.
