hi newbie i am trying to convert x-men pal dvd to svcd and the problem ime having is once ripped the movie doesnt follow the vobs ie when you load the vobs into power dvd and play it the end of the movie is in the middle of the film hope someone can explain what i need to do

That's normal with movies that have multi angle or multi stream. The ifo file is what tells the DVD player how to read/play the vob's. That why in DVD2SCVD you need to load the ifo file then it will encode the movie properly. Same thing happens with matix, ID4 and other movies. IF you want to watch the movie off your hard drive you need to rip the movie with smartripper and select stream processing.
