Jumping image on cd 2

Any one help?
when encoding using TMPG (latest version) to VCD I manage to do everything perfect, with aperfect rip, which i then split using TMPG to fit on to 2 CD's, my problem is this after entering the chapters with VCD easy and Chapter Xtractor and burning the resulting images using VCD easys built in burning siftware or even any other softare eg Fireburner CDRWin etc....the first disc 9 times out of 10 plays perfect in my standalone DVD player.....but the secoond disc is always choppy and poor sound.....even with or without chapters etc....

I even tried encoding the movies in 2 halves with TMPG, using batch encode, but same problem.

I used to run this program earlier on in the year but ran DVD2SVCD for a while.

Any sugestions would be helpfull.

Most recent DVD i tried was Knights Tale (PAL) using toolame and ssrc to tweak the sound as well and encoding at 1150kbps and audio 224
44100khz 2 channel downmixed in headac3he to wav. format and i even tried it in mp3 format...still same problem.

This sound like a sync problem to me. Did you try to follow the guide on TMPGEnc. The guide recommends to demux the generated .mpg file in TMPGEnc and mux and split then in bbMPEG. Just a wild guess but worth a try I think as doom9 says TMPGEnc is proun of syncing errors.

I thought a sync problem too, but it is'nt....even if i burn the de muxed file with no sound I still get a choppy picture (and i know all my bitrates are within the tolerences) this is a new proble as i have already ripped some 30 plus movies.
I tried DVD2SVCD again last night and even that is producing strange problems.
I know it is not my hardware as usually disc one is ok.

I resolved the problem, which was down to my own stupidity, I never set the selection to mpeg1 video cd when i made the cuts in the movie I just left it at the default option...I also had to convert the audio to 44100 is this normal?

Strange,

of course you should set the right stream type (in all programs like TMPGEnc for muxing/demuxing and also in bbMPEG (if you use that for muxing)), but why MPEG 1 VCD, why not MPEG 2 SVCD PAL, I thought you are heading for SVCD?

44.1 kHz audio is in the specs, but usually DVD players should be able to handle 48 kHz as well, I'm not experienced there as I don't own a standalone DVD player. If you encode the audio in TMPGEnc then make sure that you use SSRC as external program to downsample the audio (quality and sync!) and also use external toolame.exe to encode to MP2.

Thanks for the info...I do use ssrc and toolame with Tmpgenc and bbmpeg for muxing the video and audio....but i use Tmpg to split and demux.
My standalone DVD dosent like the 48khz audio....and niether the svcd format..hence the need for vcd mpeg1...which i must say on my standalone player and a widescreen TV gives me superior results to DVD's I encoded using DVD2SVCD and CCE plugin...especially in the audio sync department...Any way thanks for your interest but i have now solved the problem...and have just done a perfect 2 disc rip of ALI.
