?? VAF File Idea ??

After just now completing my obligatory "first pass" with CCE on the title I'm working with, I got to wondering. Does anyone know if the video information file can be used again elsewhere? Does anyone have any thoughts on the legality of sharing such a file (which essentially just provides video info)? If it's possible and some sort of database were set up, it would save everyone HOURS by eliminating the need to go through a "first pass" just to get a VAF file to work from. Thoughts?
